A sun sail provides shade to escape the sun while still outside. This classic sun sail can be used for our wooden pergolas without a roof or as an independent sun sail for the patio, yard, balcony, roof terrace, over the children’s playpen, the spa, and so on. Whether you use the lanes of fabric independently or sew two or more together, you need to add eyelets, hooks, or similar to fasten the sun sail to solid objects.

Even though we love it when the sun is shining, you need a place with shade. You can mount light and elegant sun sails almost anywhere if you have added eyelets or similar. When you set up the sun sail, please ensure it is secured and stays in place. You will soon discover how even a light breeze will take hold of the light fabric. Mount the sail to the pergola, to a wall, fence, post or something else stable and firm enough to hold the pull from the sail. Even though the 160 g/m² polyester sail is light, there will be a certain force to be reckoned with when the wind pulls in the sail. We recommend that you take down the sun sail when it is not in use or when the weather is windy.
